The Killer's Accomplice [ALPHA]

 

"The Killer's Accomplice" is a thriller-murder driven game focused in the lives of 2 gay men: Hunter Reynolds and Elliot Higgins, and their experiences in the fictional city of St. Lorenzo.

Hunter's what one could consider... a failed lawyer. Sure, he's been working as a defense lawyer in a renowned, local firm for the past 10-or-so years. But is he really living the life? 

He'd like to disagree. Being met with a slump in his performance, he's constantly confronted by his superiors, and it's definitely not helping his situation. He's exhausted, and wishes there was something... or someone, that could take that weight off his shoulders.

On the other side of the city lives Elliot, he's what most would call failed-by-the-system, thrown into the real world early in his childhood, he knew more foster families than school subjects by 4, never fitting in. Now, he'll do anything to make his own path, however it takes.

Everyone thinks he's a hustler, working whatever can fall on his hands, slaving himself to a system he knows has failed him in the past. Little do they know, he's "wiping" the streets clean, or so he says. He has no mercy while he takes out the money-hungry trash of the city, just like none was given to him growing up.

Hunter Reynolds

37 year old, defense attorney, short tempered and a victim of his own thoughts. He was born to succeed, having his parents had a prolific career in criminal law before him, they put all their hopes—or better said, money—in his education. Hunter didn't seem to care a lot about it, often doing well enough just to not get booted off college. 

After graduating—and doing his "mandatory" masters degree—he steps into the world of practicing law with a right foot, being referred to Abrams&Co. Now... things have turned left, really fast. For starters, his former boss kicked the bucket, and his son is "an incompetent (...) asshole" who he considers not to fit the part. 

He can feel himself waste away, and he'd do anything just to feel that sparkle once more, even if it makes him the devil incarnate.

Elliot Higgins

31 year old, orphaned at 3, still struggling with anger issues. He wasn't as lucky, having lost both his parents to gang violence back-in-the-day, he's had to overcome everything by himself.  He's worked every job possible, surviving only on a high school diploma and a dream. 

This constant back-and-forth made him realize a couple things. "Nothing will get better if I don't do anything", "There's gotta be something I can do" and many more crossed his mind as he did his 3rd shift of the day. From working at a slaughterhouse to being a cashier at a local deli, he did it all.

Until, one faithful day, he had to witness the grueling reality of those around him, all that time he was a robot—trying to go through the day. But, the mere sight of his poor, innocent elderly neighbor weeping because of her insurance being taken away ignited something in him.

He swore to take down every single person who upheld the same system that made people like him, like them, suffer everyday—even if it took him his life to do so
